Bidroom and Bid board · Every plan

The Bidroom for contractors

Send work orders and invitations to bid to your subcontractors, keep the client yours, pay when the work is signed off.

What it is

The Bidroom is where your subcontractors live; they see their side of it as the Bid board. You send them work orders (a price) or invitations to bid (they price it), they accept or bid, you award, they do the work, you sign off and pay. The client stays yours: a sub sees a first name, two letters of the last name and a ZIP until you award, and every message runs through the app.

When to use it

Any job you hand to a sub. Also for callbacks, so you can see which sub generates them.

How to

  1. Settings › Bidroom: switch it on, set your defaults (who gets a work order, payout as a percent of the estimate, answer-by days, holdback), write the terms every sub signs and the penalty for contacting a client directly, and build your compliance list (W-9, insurance, license, your own questions).
  2. Bidroom › Subs › Send them a setup link by email or text. The sub creates their own account, fills in company and trade, answers your compliance items and signs your terms. They show as Not verified until you tap Verify. Or add one by hand.
  3. + New work order: from scratch, from an estimate (lines copy over, price can be a percent) or from a job. Choose Direct (one sub), Open (every sub in range, first to accept wins) or Select (the subs you tick). Send.
  4. Tap Notify subs so they get it. Subs answer from their phone: accept, bid or decline. Tap Award next to the one you want. Already know who gets it? Award directly works before they answer, and they are told it is theirs. Paintrz refuses an award to a sub who is blocked, unverified, or missing a required document.
  5. The sub taps Start work and Mark done. You Sign off, rate them, and pay under Payments (Mark paid, or approve their payout request). Holdback is released at sign-off.
  6. Messages holds every conversation; Reports shows win rate, reply time, spend, margin and expiring documents.

Which plan

Every plan for now.

When it goes wrong

"Not awarded: compliance missing" means a required document is missing, expired or rejected: open the sub's profile under Subs. A sub who cannot see a work order has not signed in with the email you sent it to, or has not been verified yet.
