Invoices: deposit, balance, paid
What it is
An invoice is the estimate's sheet with an INVOICE letterhead, an issue date, a due date and a Balance due. It snapshots the accepted estimate, so editing the estimate later never changes an invoice you already sent. Numbers are INV-0001, INV-0002 per account - separate from estimates.
How to
- On an accepted estimate tap Invoice. Choose Deposit to start (a percent of the total or a dollar amount you type) or the full / final invoice, which lists every line and takes off what the deposit already collected.
- The sheet opens. Change the due date, add or edit lines, write a note. Your How to pay block (from Settings → Get paid) prints at the bottom.
- Send to customer emails the balance, the due date, your pay button and a link (paintrz.com/i/…) where they see the invoice and pay you the way you get paid.
- When money arrives, Record payment (amount, how, date) or Mark paid in full. Tick Email a receipt and the customer gets one; a part payment shows the remaining balance.
- Void cancels an invoice you sent by mistake; Delete removes a draft.
Which plan
Every plan. Paintrz never touches the money and takes no fee.
When it goes wrong
An invoice past its due date turns Overdue on Today and on the invoice list - send it again from the sheet. A payment recorded by mistake can be removed from the payments list on the sheet; the status follows the money.
