Price book and rate sheet

What it is

Two lists under Settings → Price book & rate sheet: the rate sheet (what you charge for labor - walls per square foot, trim per linear foot, cabinet doors each) and the price book (materials and anything you sell by the unit). New accounts start with seeded rates so an estimate works on day one; every one is a placeholder until you type your own.

How to

• Type lines in or Import Excel - the sheet you already use; match the columns once. Export Excel any time.
• Each rate has a unit (sq ft, linear ft, each, per door and drawer) and, for the calculator, which surface it is for.
• Measure & add on an estimate does the math from room dimensions or a home's square footage using these rates.

When it goes wrong

Seeded rates carry a banner until you change them; Reset brings the seeds back. If Measure & add gives nothing for a surface, that surface has no rate marked for it on the rate sheet.
