Working offline: what the Ultimate Color Book does with no signal

What it is

Every brand's colors are stored on the phone the first time you open the Ultimate Color Book on a connection. After that the library itself does not need the internet.

When to use it

Basements, new construction, rural driveways, a client's kitchen with no WiFi password. Open the app and show colors as if you had signal.

How to

Nothing to do. When the phone has no connection a bar at the top of the app says so. What still works:

• Brands, color groups and Most popular tiles
• Search by name, code or description
• Full-screen chips and comparing colors side by side
• Favorites and Recently used
• History thumbnails you have opened before

What needs a connection:

• Generating a render (the button says so, and your photo and picks stay put until you are back online)
• Guest links, the website widget and Leads
• Signing in for the first time on a device, and Settings

Which plan

Every plan, including Free.

When it goes wrong

• A brand shows no colors offline. The library was not finished downloading. Open the app on WiFi for a minute, then try again.
• The app will not open at all offline. It has to be opened once on a connection after installing; see Install the Ultimate Color Book.
• Generate says it needs a signal. That is expected; rendering runs on our servers. Take the photo now, tap Generate when the phone reconnects.
