The Bid board for subcontractors

You were invited to a contractor's Bid board: set up your account once, answer work orders from your phone, get paid.

What it is

A contractor who uses Paintrz invited you to their Bid board. Quote requests and work orders reach you there, you answer them from your phone, and your documents stay on file in one place. You are not their employee, and their clients are theirs.

When to use it

Every time a contractor sends you work through Paintrz.

How to

  1. Open the link they sent you and sign in with your own email. A code is emailed to you, no password to remember.
  2. Fill in your company, phone and trade, answer the contractor's compliance questions, and sign their terms by typing your full name.
  3. Under Docs, upload each required document. Put the expiry date on your insurance certificate; you get a reminder 30 days and 7 days before it lapses.
  4. Open lists the work orders sent to you: every line, the payout, the answer-by date, the client's first name and ZIP with a map. Tap Accept, Bid a different price or Decline. On an open work order the first sub to accept gets it.
  5. Once awarded you see the full address with directions. Tap Start work and Mark done, answer change orders, and Request payout. Messages with the contractor sit on the work order.
  6. If you work for more than one contractor on Paintrz, a dropdown at the top picks whose Bid board you are looking at. If you also run your own business on Paintrz, the Bidroom tab is your own work orders and subs, and the Bid board tab is the work other contractors send you.

Which plan

Free for you, always.

When it goes wrong

"The contractor has not verified your account yet" means they have not tapped Verify on your profile; message them. A phone number or email address inside a message is refused by design: the contractor's client contact details stay with the contractor under the terms you signed.
