Saying what to paint

What it is

The What to paint field tells the render which surface changes. Everything else in the photo stays as it is.

How to

• With one color picked: just the surface. "cabinets", "walls", "the front door", "siding and trim".
• With two or three colors picked: say which goes where, using the color names exactly as they appear above the field. "trim in Alabaster, body in Naval, door in Rookwood Red".
• Plain words. "upper cabinets" and "lower cabinets" are understood; "the tall one on the left" is not.
• Name a feature wall. A wall already painted a different finish, like white-painted brick or paneling, is skipped by "walls" on its own. Say "walls and the brick wall" and it gets the same color with its texture kept.

When it goes wrong

If the wrong thing got painted, the surface word was ambiguous. Be more specific ("kitchen cabinets, not the island") and render again, or use a correction: "leave the island alone".
