Using the Ultimate Color Book without an account
What it is
The Ultimate Color Book opens with no sign-in. Every brand, the color groups, search by name, code or description, full-screen chips, closest colors in other brands and favorites all work before you have an account, and they keep working with no signal once the app is installed.
When to use it
Showing a color at the counter or on the driveway when you have never signed up, or handing the phone to someone who only needs to see chips. Also the first thing to try if you are deciding whether Paintrz is for you.
How to
- Open paintrz.com/app.html (or the installed icon). The book is the first screen.
- Tap a brand, a color group or the search box. Tap a chip to see it full screen.
- Want it on a wall? Tap the camera in the bar, take the photo, say what to paint and tap Generate render. That is the moment the sign-in card appears: create a free account or sign in, and the render runs with the photo and colors you already picked.
Sign in at the top right opens the same card any time. Favorites and Recently used are kept on the device, so they are there after you sign in too.
Which plan
No plan at all. A free account adds rendering: contractors and designers get 10 renders in the first 30 days and 5 a month after that; homeowners get 10 renders, then packs of 10 for $2.50.
When it goes wrong
- The sign-in card covers the book. Tap the x in its corner, or anywhere outside it, to get back to the colors.
- I signed up and the photo is gone. If your email needed confirming, the app reloaded from the confirmation link and the photo did not survive that. Take it again; the picked colors are in Recently used.
- History and Settings are not there. They belong to an account. Sign in and the tabs come back.
