Today: what needs you, and the day ahead

What it is

Today is the first tab once you have at least one job. It is the office wall: four counters with money on them (estimates out, accepted but not scheduled, unpaid invoices with how many are overdue, new leads), a Needs you list, today's stops, the month's score and the latest activity across every job.

When to use it

Morning coffee, and any time you wonder "what am I forgetting?". Every row is the thing itself - tap it and you are on the estimate, the invoice or the job.

How to

• Needs you finds the work by itself: an estimate the customer opened but never answered, a job accepted and not on the calendar, an invoice past its date, a job finished and not invoiced, an estimate expiring this week.
• Today's schedule shows each stop with day 2 of 3, then what is up next.
• The month heading opens Reports.
• + New job starts a client.

Which plan

Every plan. The tab appears once you have a job; homeowners and Client mode never see it.

When it goes wrong

Counters at zero on a busy account usually mean estimates or invoices have no job on them - open one and file it under the job, and the counters catch up.
